Bill Glasco, FSA

Bill Glasco is an owner of The Cottonwood Group and leads the firm’s defined benefit retirement practice. He also serves as a client relationship manager, in which capacity he has responsibility for the delivery and quality of all Cottonwood services. Bill consults with clients on the design, funding and administration of defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Before forming The Cottonwood Group, Bill was with Palmer & Cay (predecessor of The Cottonwood Group). Prior to 2003, he provided actuarial and consulting services for William M. Mercer, Incorporated (25 years) and JP Morgan/American Century Retirement Plan Services (RPS). He was head of the Retirement Practice in Mercer’s Kansas City office at the time of his departure, and led a group at RPS that provided outsourced pension administration services to clients. This background has resulted in consulting assignments to assist plan sponsors in the evaluation of co-sourcing and outsourcing arrangements for pension administration.

Bill graduated with honors from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
